History of Nordic Properties LTD For the past 40 years Nordic Properties LTD has developed in excess of 100 commercial and multi-family projects during this period. It has been our objective to provide the capabilities of a “full service” commercial real estate development company to our many clients and to our own internal development efforts. Our approach covers the areas of initial site planning, preliminary and final development planning, financing arrangements, site development, direct construction supervision and property management of the final product. It has been our belief that the commercial, industrial, office and multi-family segments of the real estate business offer the greatest opportunity for the knowledgeable investor. The market areas we have focused on for development were chosen based on a verifiable, solid market demand and stable building environment supported by and built on our rapport with municipal authorities who desire and encourage the commercial development in sectors of their local economy. These areas include Gurnee, Wildwood and Grayslake in Lake County, and Elk Grove Village, Bensenville and Wood Dale in DuPage County, Illinois. It is our plan to continue to expand our business and increase our market share in these areas while continuing to explore other areas of interest in commercial real estate development. We have always been innovative and prepared to take advantage of trends and shifts in the commercial markets because of our size and our ability to react quickly. The following is a partial list of the commercial, industrial and multi-family developments that we have completed over the past 35 years: 1. In excess of 1,250,000 square feet of commercial, industrial and office space has been constructed in DuPage County (Triton II Industrial Park and O’Hare High Tech Center for Commerce and Industry). 2. A 110 acre Planned Unit Development for commercial, industrial, office and multi-family uses in Lake County (Gurnee Center for Commerce and Industry). 3. The construction of Wedgewood Creek Apartments, Royal Oak Apartments and Country Faire Village Apartments (Phase I & II) all in Lake County, IL consisting of 778 total units. 4. Over 1,000,000 square feet of commercial, industrial, office and multi-family properties are currently being managed by the property management division of Nordic Properties LTD. |
